JIM GOOLEY
DIRECTOR OF GAME DAY OPERATIONS
(973) 757-6304

Jim Gooley recently completed his second season with the Ironmen, bringing to the team over 10 years of experience in building and operating soccer franchises. He has served as Director of Game Operations for five different United Soccer League (USL) franchises, including most recently the Jersey Sky Blue and the 2005 USL W-League champion New Jersey Wildcats. In 2005 he earned praise from FOX Sports as Site Director for the nationally televised championship while the Wildcats simultaneously earned the 2005 USL Organization of the Year award.

Gooley's first priority is making sure that fans enjoy themselves. He has entertained fans and even sang the national anthem at times (something he says we all should do just once).

Gooley has a degree in Electronics from Ocean County College, and he also attended Rutgers (NJ) University for business management. He spent 20 years as an imaging specialist for Eastman Kodak in New York, and he also spent six years with Nikon Instruments.

Gooley was a goalkeeper at Brick (NJ) High School and more recently played on various shore area men's teams. He also played briefly with the New Brunswick Brigade of the USL. He has further spent time coaching youth teams in Toms River and Ocean Township.

Gooley lives in Ocean Township, New Jersey, with his wife, Pam, who is a retired teacher. They have one daughter, Karen, who is a pediatric speech-language pathologist, actress and singer.
